Walking Away From What Is (but no longer feels good) So We Can Create Something New

I am in Bali and definitely in the dark of the moon…
There have been some intense passages lately... sadness and hope for a sweet friend in the hospital... honoring the grief of the 6 year anniversary of my partner’s death…shedding layers around my career’s trajectory- new and old...some illness and a pinched nerve in my neck.

Besides that, I am great!😂

Today I tuned into my good friend and talented intuitive guide Kristin Vergara's FB live, she was talking about the energies around this New Moon in Virgo. How we are in a time of letting go “what could have been.”

Kristin said this is a time to properly recognize, grieve, and lay to rest all those hopes, dreams, "what if’s", "if only’s", and missed opportunities that may be standing in our way.

This REALLY resonated with me.

How can we find the strength to walk away from what has already been built... when it no longer serves us?

How can we properly honor, and then let go of those cherished things, or those missed opportunities that we may still cling to?

How can we Embrace what we are NOW and what we are BECOMING…this Being that is constantly being renewed and reborn and arriving every moment?

Because, let's face it. On the other side of this letting go is TRUTH. Our new, fresh, deeper, more aligned, and more ALIVE vision for our life and ourself.

That is the goodness and the reward for doing the hard work of becoming.

But how to get from HERE (honoring and letting go) to THERE (envisioning and building)?

Part of letting go is surrendering to What Is. And surrender can feel so scary, so out of control. It can feel like chaos and destruction of everything we know.

We are caught between Human Animal and Human Spirit. The part that needs to survive, and the part that wants us to thrive.

Our Primal Brain wants to know, what is on the other side of surrender? Will I still be Acceptable to my friends, family, clients and community if I change too much? Will I still be Lovable? Will I Survive this?

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to listen to our Human Spirit, and the deeper calling toward the unknown.

The central key to surrender is to invite in support. Both internal and external. It is very challenging to “let go” if we have no sense of safety. So creating some foundation of safety is KEY in times of transition.

What part of you BELIEVES and is calling you into this transition? What part of you Trusts you will be ok? What relationship do you have to Deeper Wisdom, and Higher Consciousness, Nature or the Universal Mystery? What rituals or self-care practices help ground, nourish and nurture you deeply?

Turn toward this, and turn the volume up.

Who can love you and see you and hold you just as you are now? Who GETS you and can witness you in this transition? What resources do you have right now… friends, partner/lover, family, coach/therapist, pet, or community of like minded people?

Turn towards these supports in your life, even if it feels vulnerable or risky to reach out. There is always some kind of support available.

Honor, mourn, and release what needs to go. Give it a ceremonial goodbye- even a burial or burning can offer a symbolic release that is quite powerful.

And then make space for what is being born. Plant the seeds and set the vision for what is arriving! Tune into your heart’s wisdom, your inner longing and compass guiding you home.

If you desire a guide and support on this journey, I would be honored to offer a free 1-hour discovery call to explore what support feels like to you in times of deep change and transition.

Blessings and Aloha, Harmony
